Implants involve a procedure whereby a small metal pillar that can be fused with the body is implanted into the damaged part of a tooth, which is then covered with a dental prosthesis. This development was welcomed only recently, so the inconvenience arising from frequent coming out can now be removed and the natural functions of the teeth can be revived. Metal pillars can be implanted into almost all parts of the teeth; through sinus floor augmentation in the case of excessive absorption of the alveolar bone in the upper jaw bone, and through inferior alveolar nerve repositioning in the case that it is close to the nerve in the lower jaw bone.
