Through homecare nursing, discharged patients can continue to receive the treatment and nursing care they received in the hospital in their own home. When continuous treatment and nursing are required after hospital discharge either to accelerate patients' recovery or due to the chronic nature of their condition, nurses specially trained in in-home care are assigned to visit them in their home and provide medical services according to a treatment plan she/he has prepared in consultation with the physician.

Goal of homecare nursing
Patients can choose, in their discharge plan, to continue to receive hospital-provided care and nursing, according to a set treatment plan. As with homecare nursing, patients can be discharged earlier than they otherwise would, and the hospital can have more beds freed for other patients needing emergency or acute care. Receiving hospital-provided care at home positively affects patients psychologically, and is cheaper than hospital stay. It also accelerates patients' recovery.
Who may receive homecare nursing?
Patients opting for an early discharge after a surgical procedure, patients suffering from chronic conditions (high blood pressure, diabetes, cancer, etc.) or chronic obstructive respiratory disease, post-partum mothers and newborns, patients affected by cerebral vascular diseases, movement-impaired patients (elderly patients) and other patients deemed by their primary care physician or practitioner of Oriental medicine to require homecare nursing.
24 hours after nursing request is received
The assigned nurse learns about the patient's physical condition, the patient's treatment goal and the goal of nursing. The family is contacted and informed so that they can appropriately respond to the patient's symptoms by taking him/her to the emergency room when necessary. Finally, the nurse decides on a date for the next visit with the patient and family, and makes sure all necessary supplies and equipment are onsite.
